Engineer, develop, and release mechatronic front/rear side door and swing gate door closure systems (including intelligent latches (e-latches), Bowden cables, mini-modules, functional chains, and crash brackets) for passenger, cargo, and commercial vehicles, using CATIA V5, Teamcenter, and SAP Production Planning & Control (PP) and Quality Management (QM) tools. Act as single point of contact and exercise full design, engineering, and technical responsibility for closure system development projects between OEM customer with communication and coordination of OEM customer and internal vehicle and product requirements with Brose Customer Team, Design and Central Functions. Improve closure systems security and comfort including low effort when opening, silent closing, improved anti-theft device features and technology development for crash safety and protection. Use Eventive and Excel tools to perform automotive component and subsystem statistical tolerance stack-up analysis of dimensions and static forces including kinematics, and highlighting critical parts, tolerances, and dimensions, and evaluating contribution to general functions. Bachelor, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Design, or related. Twenty-four months' experience as Engineer or related, engineering side door closure systems (including Bowden cables, functional chains, and crash brackets) for passenger vehicles, using CATIA and Teamcenter tools, or related.
