As part of this role, you will:

• Process and submit durable medical equipment (DME) claims to insurance payors
• Contact insurance payors for claim status
• Verify and/or obtain pre-authorization for DME
• Respond and educate patients regarding DME billing statements

What you need to bring to this role:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1+ years' experience with medical billing preferred
• Working knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office required
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively interact with patients/customers in stressful situations
• Tech savviness and comfortable with technology
• Polished in both personal appearance and interactions
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion
• Detail oriented with an organized mind-set
• Ability tobe flexible, resourceful, and able to troubleshoot
• Ability to be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and set priorities
• Pride in the job you do and the image you present to our patients and visitors
• A positive can-do attitude
