Job Title: Carpenter/Finisher

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Carpenter/Finisher to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for erecting steel stud structures such as roofing frames, partitions, joists, and stud work. You will also install Drywall, insulation, and acoustical systems. Daily tasks include communicating with peers in the field and reading blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects, and building code recommendations.

Hard Skills

• Wood framing (2-5 years experience)

• General Construction (Minimum 1 year experience)

Soft Skills

• Effective Communication

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Work Environment

The position involves working with a team of 65-70 laborers in an outdoor work environment. The standard working hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with no weekend work required. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as a hard hat, safety glasses, and high-visibility clothing must be worn on site.
