Duties: This job requires a minimum of 3 months of verifiable argriculutral experience working in a nursery or greenhouse handling both manual and mechanized tasks. Applicants must be able to furnish verifiable job reference(s) or comparable third party documentation recent employer(s) establishing acceptable prior experience. Workers must be able to perform manual and mechanized tasks with accuracy and efficiency. Saturday work required. Must be able to lift/carry 60 pounds.

Crops/Commodities: annuals, perennials and holiday plants. A worker is responsible for performing and completing a multitude of general labor tasks throughout the greenhouse under the direct supervision of their manager and/or Crew Leader. Responsibilities include maintaining quality standards, maintaining productivity goals, and ensuring the work area remains safe at all times. Ensure all safety policies are followed while spacing of plants on the ground; Cleaning, pinching, and cutting of plants, Support the hanging of plants as needed, Work through provided task lists either independently or with a team, and any other duties as assigned by management. Must be able to work in all outdoor elements, including dust and allergens. Position requires long-term ability for standing, sitting, squatting, bending, reaching, and twisting on a regular basis to fulfill essential duties. A successful employee will safely and timely assist the team with preparing orders for delivery to vendors and customers. They will also support and help the dock and other labor teams throughout the facility as needed. Work well in a team environment to meet daily goals, Punctual and timely, Loading and unloading product onto the trailers. Must have the ability to consistently lift up to 30 pounds unassisted. Persons seeking employment must plant, cultivate, and maintain nursery stock in conditions for sale to customers. Pot seedlings or liners by hand, propagate plants from cuttings, perform general plant maintenance, including but not limited to trim, space, pack, label, tag, count, grade and inventory. Workers will perform tasks on an assembly line, products must be handled with care to prevent damage while grading, sizing, sorting, and packing products. Workers must have the ability to be on their feet all day, must be able to work in a bent position for long periods of time, work requires repetitive movements and extensive walking. Work in fields is required while plants are wet with dew or rain and may be required during light rain, moderate winds, direct sun, high humidity and sometimes extreme temperatures. Allergies to ragweed goldenrod, honeybees, insecticides, herbicides, fungicides or related chemicals may affect a workers ability to perform the job. Workers should be able to do the work required with or without reasonable accommodations. Employer-paid post-hire drug testing is required after a worker has an accident at work. Employer will notify wo kers of any change to start time. Workers will have an unpaid lunch break.
