As aQuality Inspectorat Trinity, youll make visual and measured inspection/tests of materials/ products to ensure conformance with standards and determine if product meets all requirements. Completes inspection records and reports and follows appropriate codes and regulations.

What youll do:

• Performs inspection of tank or freight car assemblies, parts, or material the majority of the time to ensure conformance with standards and determine if product meets all requirements
• Performs a variety of standard testing processes on in-process or final products during manufacturing or inspection and records and analyzes results
• Requires knowledge of industry specific tests and testing equipment
• May use automated and manual techniques including to perform non-destructive tests to identify errors or defects
• May be responsible for testing during production and finished products
• Follows all safety rules and practices
• May be involved in safety committees or CI initiatives
• Performs other duties as assigned. For new hires previous work experience and/or certifications may be considered for the corresponding job level position
• Be in training
• May be required to achieve certification 1 NDE method within 6 months
• Perform basic quality control of incoming materials or end product
