Manufacturing Engineering Manager

As the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager, You Will:

  • Grow and development engineering and technical resources.

  • Work collaboratively with Product Engineering and operations to ensure new product(s) are designed/optimized for manufacturability.

  • Drive strategic discussions and define manufacturing plans to optimize cost.

  • Lead cross-functional teams in providing design and costing input for manufacturing and product/process changes.

  • Lead a team of cross-functional engineers in the design, procurement, qualification and implementation of capital equipment and manufacturing processes while maintaining project schedules and budgets.

  • Apply practical automation, LEAN principles, and material handling solutions for high volume manufacturing assembly lines.

  • Provide guidance in PFMEAs, capability studies, and other statistical analyses as needed to verify and qualify production processes and equipment.

  • Drive collaboration with manufacturing locations to gain an understanding of their needs and how best to meet them.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering/Engineering Technology or equivalent. Other degrees will be considered with relevant work experience.

  • Demonstrated capability in leading effective cross-functional engineering teams.

  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in high volume discrete manufacturing.

  • Project management (schedule, budgeting, planning, execution) and capital equipment procurement experience.

  • Experience with 2D and 3D design (Siemens NX and AutoCAD preferred but not required).

  • Experience and working knowledge of PC applications including Microsoft Office Products.

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Master’s Degree – Engineering focused or business/project management.

  • Fifteen (15+) years of related experience in high volume manufacturing.

  • Five plus (5+) years leading engineering teams.

  • Five-to-Ten (5-10) years in project management and capital equipment procurement.

  • Leadership experience in a matrix organization.

  • Certified Lean training.
