DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Research Scientist/Engineer Assistant (NE S UAW RSE) position will devote 100% effort directly to research activities such as:
60% - Maintenance of mouse colony, cell culture, PCR genotyping, working in biosafety cabinet, keeping clear and organized records.
40% - Cell lysate preparation for immunoblots, qPCR, immunohistochemistry, confocal microscopy and image analysis. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Biochemistry or Neurology + less than one year of relevant experience, OR Equivalent combination of education/experience. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Keeping clear and organized records. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Preferable if some cell culture or sterile technique experience, and experience working with cell lysate or RNA for Western blot and qPCR.
