Summary :

The Retail Sales Executive II (RSEII) is responsible for first line support of assigned branch locations. The RSEII will ensure that branch budgeted production levels are met, client service / experience levels are maintained, and operational soundness is achieved. The RSEII provides guidance, training and direction to branches regarding branch sales, client experience, personnel management, and regulatory compliance. The RSEII will act as a liaison to the Chief Retail Banking Officer and is the corporate contact for any sales / service and performance issues within the branch group.

Principal Accountabilities :

  • Responsible for oversight of approximately 10 to 12 banking centers, including direct supervision of Banking Center & Business Development Managers including interviewing, hiring, coaching, scheduling, counseling, motivating, training, preparing and delivering performance evaluations, preparing and delivering discipline, and terminating, when appropriate. Regular meetings and provides frequent feedback to all associates within region to develop them and provide a career path for all associates whose performance supports promotion. Participates in hiring, training, and coaching all new associates in region and participates in discipline and termination of those associates, when appropriate. Implements succession plan to ensure the development / career path of associates into leadership roles. Ensures Banking Center & Business Development Managers complete performance reviews of their direct reports and provides secondary sign off on those reviews to ensure consistency and fairness.

  • The Retail Sales Executive II will work in one of their banking centers daily with the expectation that each banking center will be visited no less frequently than every two weeks.

  • Measures and manages sales based on daily / monthly / quarterly / annual budgeted goals.

  • Markets bank products to target markets inside and outside the banking center by contacting potential clients, businesses, and community and civic organizations to promote goodwill and generate new business; explaining appropriate bank products to target audience; interviewing clients to obtain information and explain available financial services; cross selling new products to current bank clients.

  • Trains and coaches on product knowledge, presentation of products and services, effective marketing and any applicable operational processes / procedures.

  • Ensures client experience is “fast, easy, and personal” consistent with Company client service standards. Resolves escalated client problems, including by working with Client Relations associates to resolve client complaints.

  • Actively assists Regional Operations Managers with ensuring that operational expectations are achieved and holds Banking Center & Business Development Managers accountable for operational soundness through regular feedback, performance evaluations, and, where necessary, discipline.

  • Responsible for knowing, following, and ensuring all banking center associates’ adherence to all bank policies and procedures and applicable state and federal laws.

  • Promotes ethical environment by modeling integrity and requiring ethical behaviors of all associates.

  • Has mastery of all regulatory and compliance issues and holds Banking Center & Business Development Manager accountable for ensuring all compliance and internal audit requirements have been met.

  • Ensure work premises constitutes a safe work environment that promotes positive bank image, including regular inspection for and remediation of any hazardous conditions; regular maintenance and cleaning of premises; adherence to all posting requirements in jurisdiction, including human resources and compliance postings; and provision of comfortable and appropriate space for associates to conduct banking business.

  • Understands, embodies, communicates, and instills corporate initiatives and vision, including the Bank’s six Pillars of Success.

  • Maintains client information in complete confidence.

  • Completes other specified duties as assigned.

  • Regular attendance required, working at the work site during regular business hours and/or assigned hours.

Compensation & Benefits

The Regional Sales Executive position pays a range of $100,000 to $110,000 per year. This position is eligible for additional incentive compensation monthly, quarterly and annually based on achievement of established incentive goals up to $12,100.00

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years banking center management experience or 2+ years of regional banking center management experience required.

  • Minimum of 5 years sales and people management required.

  • Multi-site management experience is preferred.

  • Must be able to multi-task.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.

  • 2+ year of experience with DFC banks preferred.

  • Must be eligible for SAFE Act registration.

  • College degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

  • Advanced experience with the Microsoft Suite of products is required, Power BI is preferred.

  • Daily travel required throughout assigned region. Occasional overnight travel outside the local area may be required, depending on the region assigned. If transporting oneself, a valid driver’s license in the primary state of residence is required.

Physical Requirements:

The work environment is typical of standard office and retail banking settings. Reaching may be required involving the ability to move arms in any direction. Office equipment, such as a computer and telephone, will be used requiring the ability to manipulate a keyboard, mouse, and/or keypad. The ability to decipher a computer screen or written documents is necessary. The ability to express or exchange ideas; impart information to clients, coworkers, or the public; or to convey detailed or important instructions; is required. The ability to receive and understand detailed information shared through oral or written communication is required. Position will involve moving about the workspace to reach entrances/exits, restrooms, conference rooms, or other areas within the work environment. The position involves frequent, sustained periods of sitting but also frequent, sustained periods of standing. The position requires the ability to transport oneself from one local work site to another local work site via automobile or public transportation on a regular basis. Position requires the ability to travel outside the local area on an occasional basis. Exposure to the elements is possible while outdoors. Position requires occasional lifting and/or the exerting of up to 25 pounds of force.
