Job Title: Team Lead and Software Architect

Job Summary:

As the Computer and Information Systems Manager/Team Lead, you'll spearhead the gathering of functional and technical requirements for enhancements and new features. Collaborating closely with NSF staff and business owners, you'll ensure a thorough understanding of high-level requirements and deadlines. Coordinating with the development team, you'll guarantee that requirements are both appropriate and achievable. This pivotal role, performed by the Team Lead in coordination with the project team, will be instrumental in driving project success.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Gathering functional and technical requirements for enhancements and new features

  • Collaborating with NSF staff and business owners to understand high-level requirements and deadlines

  • Coordinating with the development team to ensure requirements are appropriate and achievable

  • Providing ongoing maintenance for existing features on the intranet

  • Implementing minor enhancements, bug fixes, and other changes to existing applications

  • Developing complex applications and sites using SharePoint 2016, SharePoint Online, and other platforms utilized by NSF

  • Defining functional requirements based on business needs and maintain detailed technical documentation

  • Providing user support on technical issues

  • Creating project plans and deliver weekly and monthly status reports

  • Directing the completion of tasks within project time frames and budget constraints

  • Performing a variety of complicated tasks and offer consultation on complex projects

    Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant discipline

  • 6+ years of SharePoint management experience

  • 3+ years of experience working in an agile software development environment

  • Demonstrated experience leading a team transitioning an agency or customer from on-premise or cloud-based SharePoint to Microsoft 365 or other software platform

    Work Setting and Environment:

  • Monday - Friday, normal working hours

  • Work is to be performed remotely

  • Must be able to periodically report onsite for meetings in the DC area
