Job Description Summary

GE Vernova is looking for a Mechanical Technician to join the new Singrobo-Ahouaty Hydro Power Plant, about 2 hours north-west of Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

As a Mechanical Technician you will work as part of the GE Vernova maintenance team under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for executing electrical and I&C related maintenance activities for GE Vernova’s scope in the Power Plant.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• • Responsibility for the maintenance of the mechanical systems at the power plant.

• • Execution of planned and unplanned maintenance activities according to the instructions of the Maintenance Manager in coordination with the Operation team and the electrical maintenance team

• • Support to the operation team in detection, analysis and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.

• • Work under strict EHS guidelines

Requirements:

• • Practical Engineer / Mechanical Technician.

• • Experience in hydraulic, pneumatic systems, rotating equipment

• • At least two years' experience working in a similar position

• • Willingness to combine fieldwork with office work.

• • knowledge of office software in general and Excel in particular.

• • Ability to work under pressure.

• • Good interpersonal skills and teamwork ability.

• • Full-time, readiness for readiness and bouncing if necessary, including nights and weekends.

• • Fluent French, English is and advantage
