Labcorp Technologist - Special Chemistry in Anniston, Alabama

Job Summary: Performs a variety of laboratory tests and assays in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulations in a designated technical department. Interprets results, subject to verification by Technologist/Supervisor, and providing allowance by State regulations.

The work schedule for this position is: 1st shift - Tuesday - Saturday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Job Requirements:

  • Perform stat urinalysis dips and stat pregnancy tests for obstetrics and gynecology clinic.

  • Perform daily and monthly maintenance.

  • Record all quality control and order lab inventory.

  • Responsible to report all lab concerns to the Lab Director.

  • Administrative tasks - answering phones and maintaining logs/records, and utilizing computer databases

  • Organizational skills especially time management

  • Proficiency with numbers

  • Communication skills-written and verbal

  • Assist training of employees when required

License/Certification/Education:

  • BA/BS degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or other related science or all required city/state/licenses or permits to qualify as a Technologist

  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical lab experience
