Core Objectives: Provides and oversees loading support customers, retail and production. Assist with managing work duties of operations loading and unloading crew; including but not limited to crew trucks. Ensure operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way. Works with Purchaser on coordinating pickups and deliveries for customers and jobs. Works with Shop operation to coordinate deliveries and pickups. Consult and work with Operation personnel including but not limited Nursery Supervisor, Operation Manager, and Purchaser on inventory, product, and handling of plant material. Operates and manages incoming phone calls to assigned work phone Supervise via training, teaching, coaching and holding accountability of team. Assists with managing loading and unloading materials and equipment for crew trucks. Communicates with Crew leads on what material and equipment is needed for next day of work, utilizing load lists. Oversees and facilitates inspections on small equipment as to availability and working capabilities. Supervises the staging of material and prepare for loading on crew trucks. Assists with preventative maintenance to both trucks and equipment. This includes check engine oil, washer fluids, hydraulic oil, cables, wipers, and trailer light hook ups. Oversee loading and unloading of delivery truck. Manages garbage\'s and organize haul away as needed. Plan, organize and oversee warehouse efficiency and safety. Responsible for other duties as assigned or needed. Enforce safety and sanitation regulations. Keep records of employees\' attendance and hours worked. Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions. Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs. Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals. Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments. Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as inspectors, machine setters, or fabricators. Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers. Evaluate employee performance. Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances. Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency. Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services. Set up and adjust machines and equipment.
