JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: This position will work throughout the Ag Research station doing maintenance and repair of various agricultural buildings and equipment. This position will also assist as needed during busy periods with field operations which include tillage, manure hauling, and harvesting of grains and forage crops. This position requires a knowledge of agricultural facilities and equipment to perform general preventative maintenance and diagnose, test, and repair problems. Skills include welding and fabrication. Accurate record keeping is required for recording maintenance logs, maintaining parts inventory, and billing purposes as well as meeting research needs. This position shall observe safety precautions and procedures applicable to maintenance shops and mechanical equipment as well as safe operation of farm equipment and vehicles.
