Description Robert Half has a terrific opportunity for a permanent Senior Accountant to join an innovative, growing company in the ATLANTA, Georgia area. As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Key responsibilities
Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary
Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP
Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process Requirements - Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well
Able to manage time well
Account analysis experience
Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings
Demonstrated knowledge of Bank Deposit
Experience with Account Balance
Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation experience preferred
Adeptness in bank statements
Journal entries experience
Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Skilled with ERP systems
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
