Description: Machine Control Operator

Candidates considering this role will be responsible for cutting metal/steel with a bandsaw/machine. Will also monitor, organize and maintain inventory of company product at multiple branch locations while working alongside a diverse group of people. Machine operators learn to run our aluminum saws ranging from 4'-20' long cuts. We cut .019 to 10" material.

Shifts Available:

• Friday-Sunday 4:00am - 4:30pm | $23.00 Hourly | Auburn, WA

• Monday - Friday | 4:00am - 2:30pm |

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Completing material receiving activities for shipments between locations or direct from the mill

• Coordinating movement of material from stock to processing to support production requirements

• Operating material handling equipment as necessary to support movement of material

• Performing accurate and timely data entry within the inventory management system regarding material movements.

• Preparing and maintaining appropriate inventory identification tags.

• Completing material consolidation tasks, including supermarket

• Identifying material shortages and issues, and communicate to appropriate staff.

• Performing verification of scrap

• Maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all work

• Assisting quality assurance team in activities related to credits

1. Previous experience using a band saw (they're cutting steel)

2. Ability and experience operating a sit-down forklift

3. Must be able to read a tape measure

• Strong attendance and work history with regards to tenure.

• Apply metal to customer orders and accurately process material according to the work order

• specifications.

Attributes include attention to detail, ability to work on your feet, read a tape measure, good with paperwork and chain of custody. I'll try to find an actual job description to send you as well. If someone is comfortable working in a warehouse environment as well as operating machinery, then we can do the training and such. First week on the job is mostly classroom training and then they are paired up with an experienced trainer / operator until they are good to work on their own.
