WHO YOU ARE: TWC is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to join the Applications Solutions (AS) team. AS develops applications and information systems that support TWC's critical business operations. We work in collaboration with TWC business areas to create and maintain automated applications which best serve their evolving needs.

WHAT YOU WILL DO: The Cloud Solutions Architect is selected by and accountable to the IT Scheduled Releases Director with the approval of the Deputy Chief Information Officer of Applications Solutions and Chief Information Officer. Performs highly advanced (senior-level) computer systems analysis work. Work involves overseeing to directing the planning, budgeting and analysis of user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems. May supervise the work of others. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Maintains a reliable, predictable work schedule. May be called upon to work outside of normal business hours to sustain operations or complete urgent assignments.

YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO: -Lead the development and implementation of a well-informed cloud strategy under direction of IT Leadership and in collaboration with cross functional teams, ensuring alignment with TWC goals and objectives. -Provide guidance and support through cloud adoption and establish best practices. Provide technical leadership and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. -Collaborate with stakeholders, vendor partners, and technical teams to promote and design solutions. -Work closely with Cybersecurity to monitor cloud privacy. -Lead/Serve as an active member of the Technical Architecture Review Board. -Evaluate cloud applications, hardware and software, developing and organizing cloud systems, and addressing technical issues. -Responsible for activities during all phases of the system development life cycle including analyzing, diagnosing and resolving reported software problems and troubleshooting system issues. -Document current processes, review written specification additions/modifications and create test cases for new and modified program policies. -Analyze, design, and develop logical, structured programs and systems appropriate to customer needs which are well-documented programs and that may be maintained by others. -Ensure adherence to program documentation and procedural standards, and management goals and objectives. -May serve as backup to the director and other managers. -Actively participates in maintaining and providing input to the departmental dashboard. -Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and agency laws, rules, policies, and procedures including IT Handbook and SOPs that govern TWC IT. -Contribute to teamwork and communicate effectively. -Promote an image of IT excellence. -Perform other duties as assigned.

YOU ARE A GREAT FIT WITH: -Bachelors degree in computer science, computer information systems, management information systems or related field. -Five years of experience as a Cloud Architect with responsibilities overseeing cloud computing technologies and current computing trends. -Experience with cloud migration of existing applications. -Experience with on or more of the following: Spring framework, JAVA, JBOSS EAP, HTML 5, SQL, MS SQL Server, DB2. -Experience with Web Services. -Experience with Ant, Maven and Gradle. -Experience with Okta. -Experience with Azure Active Directory. -Experience with unit testing tools and frameworks (Junit, Selenium). -Experience with Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise. -Experience with LN-Threat Metrix. -Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts. -Demonstrated skills using software/systems development methodologies such as waterfall, iterative, and/or agile sprints; problem-solving; critical thinking; building quality into code; planning and organizing work; meeting due dates. -Must show initiative and good judgment, ability to function well under pressure, and remain focused on the priorities with other demands. -Ability to analyze problems, develop solutions, communicate clearly and communicate effectively with technical colleagues and non-technical customers. -Ability to provide strong technical expertise and share knowledge in a team environment. -Skill in solving problems; in scheduling, testing, installing, and implementing programs; and in troubleshooting computer software systems. -Strong written and verbal communication skills to serve as a technical consultant, clearly and accurately document relevant issues, and prepare accurate, concise, reliable reports. -Knowledge of Texas Workforce Commission programs. -Industry related certifications are a plus, but not required: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional

YOU QUALIFY WITH: -Systems Analyst VI: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, or a related field, plus four years of full-time experience in computer programming, systems analysis, and/or program analysis or four years of full-time experience which provided general knowledge of data processing or systems analysis. -Systems Analyst VII: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, or a related field, plus five years of full-time experience in computer programming, systems analysis and/or program analysis or five years of full-time experience which provided general knowledge of data processing or systems analysis. Both Levels: One year of full-time experience may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of education.
