Shift 1 (United States of America) Position Summary: We are seeking a Crane Technician to join our team in both Batavia and Mt. Orab, OH locations as a Crane Technician, you will be a specialist in the installation, repair, maintenance, and inspection of cranes. Work You'll Do: Maintenance, repair, and servicing of cranes and other heavy lifting equipment. This includes diagnosing and fixing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults. Installation of new cranes and lifting equipment, ensuring they are set up correctly and safely. Inspection of cranes and other lifting equipment: This includes checking the mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components of cranes and other lifting equipment to ensure they are operating correctly. Quickly identify and troubleshoot any issues that arise with the equipment. This requires a good understanding of how cranes work and the ability to diagnose complex mechanical problems. Keep detailed records of the work they have conducted, including any parts that have been replaced, repairs that have been made, and any potential issues they have identified. Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people can understand. Inspecting and diagnosing issues with cranes and related equipment. Test cranes to ensure they are safe and in good working order. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Perform required preventative maintenance and inspections on all overhead cranes. Any additional tasks assigned by the Facilities Maintenance Manager. Team: Overview of team this role will be a part of the Mt. Orab and Batavia Facility Maintenance team reporting directly to the Facility Maintenance Manager. Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, along with vocational training or an apprenticeship in heavy equipment mechanics or a related field. Certified Crane Technician Strong Mechanical skills. Understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems. Effective written and verbal communication. Ability to work in heights. Experienced in the use of ariel lift equipment. Problem solving skills, the ability to work under pressure, and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: Mechanical apprenticeship, vocational training, or an associate degree in mechanical technology. Licensed Crane Inspector to perform annual crane certifications. Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), preferably asset essentials Knowledge of power tools and various equipment as needed to perform responsibilities. Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations. Physical Demands: To perform this job successfully, the physical demands listed are representative of those that must be met by an employee.
