Job Summary:

The main responsibility for our Security team is to serve our guests in the Resort. This role is a Year Round position that supports special events/groups, village concerts, holidays, and as-needed shift coverage for Guest Safety team members.

Job Specifications:

  • Housing: May Be Available

  • Expected Pay Range: $21.00 - $23.26 / hour

  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time, Year Round

  • 4 days / 10 hours week shift

  • Skill Level: Intermediate

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a daily log of all activities throughout the shift.

  • Work in hazardous surroundings exists at all times including exposure to vehicle traffic, vicious animals, stressful and emergency situations

  • Performs pedestrian and vehicle traffic control throughout the resort as needed.

  • Responds to all emergency and security situations in the Resort & Hospitality areas and works with appropriate law enforcement agencies to resolve problems.

  • Responds to medical emergencies to assist Ski Patrol or Ambulance services as needed.

  • Performs guest and employee services such as vehicle lockouts, opening doors, and guest assist rides when needed.

  • Performs foot, vehicle, and mountain bike patrols, e-bikes throughout all hospitality and mountain division areas and reports on unsafe conditions, fire hazards, and security issues.

  • Must be able to accurately investigate, write, and input reports into electronic report writing systems.

  • Communicate clearly and concisely, consistent positive attitude while dealing with the public, stakeholders and employees, verbally de-escalate tense situations involving guests.

  • Performs routine maintenance and upkeep of department vehicles and equipment.

  • Works event security when needed and available.

  • Train/educate hotel employees on current safety issues to ensure compliance with all company loss control policies and current security and safety regulations

  • Conduct investigations of accidents, injuries, and suspicious activities.

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent - required

  • Valid US Drivers License - required

  • Clean driving record and be able to obtain Colorado Driver License by start date - required

  • At least 2 years guest service experience - required

  • Able to read, write, speak, understand, and comprehend English fluently - required

  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays - required

  • Knowledge of resort and surrounding areas - highly preferred

  • Previous Beaver Creek Public Safety Experience - highly preferred

The expected pay range is $21.00 - $23.26. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
