Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Belton, Texas

Job Description:

Successful, mid sized manufacturing plant in Belton, TX seeking two maintenance technicians to join their team. This company is a team oriented and collaborative group, and they really value their employees. Most folks have been there a long time, but they are ramping up and need to add 2 more maintenance technicians. This company is a leading source of manufacturing various commodities. Seeking experienced maintenance technicians to provide maintenance support to the cell/area to achieve optimal levels of productivity, quality, and safety to assure internal and external customer satisfaction.  Pay:

$25 - $35/hr based on interview, experience, and skills**

OT available

Shifts:

1st Shift: 7am - 7pm 3 on, 3 off

2nd Shift: 7pm - 7am, 3 on, 3 off

Duties:

  • Perform maintenance and electrical function and troubleshoot to correct inefficiencies and prevent equipment downtime by completing regular PM’s.

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical problems of plant machinery.

  • Ensure the maintenance and preventive maintenance of corrugating plant process equipment to achieve world-class results; ensure all equipment is running properly and meets operational requirements.

  • Follow all safety and company policies, reporting any issues, accidents or incidents immediately; must complete online safety training each month as assigned.

  • Work within specifications and drawings, responsible for ensuring completion, and minimizing waste within set dates & times.

  • Other corrective and preventive maintenance duties to be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

o Mechanical and electrical

o 13 different automated machines operating in line

o Tear down motors and rebuild

o Tear scrappers and repair

o Repair corrugator

o Installing a robot at some point that will take on a lot of the human operator process

Additional Skills &

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of technical school education and experience

  • Working knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical Systems, computers in an industrial environment including hardware, software configuration and troubleshooting, network configuration and troubleshooting

  • Knowledge of computer and automated machines

  • Strong maintenance and electrical experience (manufacturing preferred) in AC/DC motor control, troubleshooting, and electrical wiring codes

  • Detail-oriented, organized and dependable with time management skills

  • 3+ years’ experience with Electrical and Mechanical Systems, computers in an industrial environment including hardware, software & network configuration, and troubleshooting

  • Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot various pneumatic, hydraulic systems, working knowledge of PLC’s and motors

  • Excellent people skills and communication, both verbal and written

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong work ethic with an emphasis on safety

  • An energetic, motivated, and dependable worker who is dedicated to the job and team

  • The ability to function as a mature, professional individual, who interacts positively with teammates

  • The willingness to function effectively in a team environment and tackle any task required for the success of the team

  • High school diploma or GED
