Description We are in search of a diligent and meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team located in BENSENVILLE, Illinois, United States. This role involves maintaining the company's financial records, processing financial data, assisting with financial reporting and analysis, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information.

Responsibilities:

• Entering financial data into accounting software, processing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank statements

• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements like balance sheets and income statements

• Helping to close the books at the end of each month and year, which involves finalizing accounts and ensuring their accuracy

• Maintaining the general ledger by recording financial transactions and ensuring its accuracy

• Performing basic financial analysis tasks to support senior accountants

• Assisting with the preparation and analysis of budgets

• Implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets

• Providing support with tax preparation tasks

• Conducting bank reconciliations and maintaining the general ledger

• Preparing journal entries and managing month-end close procedures

• Utilizing Sage Accounting Software for various accounting tasks Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role

• Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Experience with General Ledger management

• Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries

• Knowledge of Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with Sage Accounting Software

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
