Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance for commercial and industrial clients.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems and determine the most effective course of action for repair.
  • Test electrical systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
  • Replace or repair faulty electrical components such as circuit breakers, fuses, switches, and motors.
  • Install and repair electrical wiring, lighting systems, and electrical panels.
  • Interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to ensure proper installation and repair.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including time, materials, and any necessary permits.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and codes, including the National Electric Code (NEC).
  • Communicate effectively with clients and co-workers to ensure job requirements are understood and met.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in electrical technology and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and equipment, including wiring, lighting, and electrical panels in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems.
  • Familiarity with the National Electric Code (NEC) and other relevant safety regulations and codes.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with clients and co-workers.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting and carrying heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
