The Ideal Candidate Would:

  • Be a seasoned Infection Preventionist

  • Be certified by CBIC

  • Have a BSN or higher

  • Have Leadership Experience

  • Have 3+ Years of Infection Prevention Experience in Acute Care Hospital setting

  • Have familiarity with regulatory bodies, including Joint Commission

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of the Infection Prevention Program.

  • Manage the planning, development and implementation of the overall operational objectives, goals and processes.

  • Establish and assure compliance of infection prevention policies and procedures to meet all accreditation and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage recruitment, interview, selection, retention, staff development and performance management processes for the staff of assigned departments.

  • Manage the development of department operating and capital budgets and achievement of financial goals.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):• Certification specializing in Infection Control credentialed from the Certification Board ofInfection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (CBIC) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date orjob transfer date required.• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing with experience required.
