Position Overview Park Inc is seeking a dedicated and experienced Garage Manager to oversee operations at two parking garage locations in Blacksburg, VA. The Garage Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of the parking facilities while delivering excellent customer service to patrons. This position is expected to range between 30 to 40 hours weekly.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain a strong working relationship with the client and the respective points of contact

  • Manage the daily operation of the parking garage including staff, equipment, and customer satisfaction

  • Screen, hire, and train new staff members as openings occur

  • Assist customers in the use of automated revenue control equipment including ticket dispensers, pay stations, and exit station equipment

  • Maintain the security of customer financial and identifying information

  • Follow all company procedures and policies to ensure a safe and secure garage

  • Regularly inspect all windows, security cameras, doors, and locks on garage premises

  • Promote the courteous treatment of customers and provide a quick resolution to guest service issues

  • Set high standards of performance for self and team

  • Investigate and report all accidents and incidents immediately ·

  • Ensure the highest level of integrity and appearance of garage

  • Handle on-site communications with customers, clients and management

  • Collect and account for all daily daily receipts

  • Daily empty cash from pay stations as well as prepare and process daily paperwork and deposits

  • Monitor and maintain all garage equipment including pay stations and parking spaces

  • Manage timely and accurate reporting of various business activities on a daily, monthly, and annual basis

  • Reviews processes for efficiency and opportunities for improvement

  • Ensure adequate staffing for events, football games, as well as the daily schedule

  • Other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma at minimum; associates degree or equivalent work experience preferred

  • Prior management experience preferred (parking management is a plus)

  • Must be detail oriented and able to make sound decisions within assigned deadlines

  • Demonstrate good organizational skills

  • Excellent verbal communication skills

  • Outstanding customer service skills

  • Flexibility with schedule to be available on some weekends and after hours to handle emergencies

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment

  • Must have the ability to work independently and within established guidelines, follow directions, and work well with others

  • Strong computer skills required

  • Ability to walk garage, sweep, pick up trash, etc.
