Job Summary and Qualifications

Lead Endoscopy Technician

Our Surgical Services teams are a committed, caring group of professionals with a passion for creating positive patient interactions. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Lead Endoscopy Technician to help us reach our goals. You will assist with endoscopic procedures by working with physicians, anesthesiologists, nurses and other members of the GI team to coordinate patient care activities in the Endoscopy department.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Prepare rooms and ensure areas are ready to receive patients

· Greet, comfort and transport patients

· Collect, record and report patient data

· Assist physician and nursing staff during endoscopic procedures

· Handle and prepare specimens obtained during the procedure in a timely manner

· Obtain supplies, equipment, and instrumentation as needed

· Attend to the cleaning, sterilization and maintenance of endoscopes and related equipment

· Assist in the supervision and education of colleagues when needed

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Vocational or technical education preferred

• A minimum of three (3) years as an Endoscopy Technician

• Current BLS (Basic Life Support)

• Must be able to lift and/or carry 50 pounds
