Storeroom Attendant _ _ _JOB DESCRIPTION:_ _ _ 1. Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment 2. Responsible for conducting cycle counts as required, to maintain appropriate inventory levels for all plant supplies and repair parts. 3. Responsible for working with the maintenance planner and maintenance supervisors to ensure proper identification and tracking of all repair parts in MP2 with max/min and reorder points established 4. Responsible for inventory control of material entering or leaving the storeroom 5. Responsible for assembling and staging job kits that meet the requirements of job plans and craftsman needs 6. Responsible for returning unused parts from work orders back to inventory 7. Responsible for interfacing with vendors to obtain quotes, pricing and delivery 8. Responsible for entering requisitions for purchase orders using the Oracle procurement system and MP2 9. Responsible for tracking the progress of orders and expedite when necessary 10. Responsible for reconciling disposition of obsolete parts 11. Responsible for all accounting standards are met for cost and inventory accuracy 12. Responsible for receiving, inspecting and confirming parts on all inbound shipments, ship outbound packages 13. Responsible for adhering to the RPM Model MRO guidelines; make continuous improvement efforts, striving for best practices in storeroom/MRO management
_QUALIFICATIONS:_ _ _ 1. Safety and housekeeping are the first consideration in all activities. The employee must consistently demonstrate an understanding of all plant & departmental safety rules, standards, and programs. 2. Must be able to safely operate or learn to operate plant vehicles, personal carriers, sweeper, and fork trucks. 3. Must be able to properly locate and identify maintenance parts used throughout the plant. 4. Must have knowledge and experience in using a Windows-based computer system and standard software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook), MP2, and barcode scanners. Must train, as needed, to stay current with changing computer applications. 5. Must be able to learn and observe all plant safety rules, Operating Procedures, and JSAs (VWIs) pertaining to this position. 6. Must demonstrate the ability to perform all essential physical requirements. 7. Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with all levels of personnel in the plant. 8. Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and discipline in performing administrative duties to ensure deadlines are met or exceeded. 9. Must be reliable and self-motivated. 10. Must actively participate in and encourage continuous improvement activities such as lean management, RPM, A3 problem solving, LSS, & 5S.
