Who We Are:
The HORD team, nationally known for our world class pig production, is currently looking for an experienced Class A CDL driver to add to our elevator team. Headquartered in Bucyrus, OH, this essential position offers training on hauling ingredients, a supportive team-focused atmosphere, and the opportunity to be home every night.
A Day in the Life:
Our Class A CDL Elevator Truck Drivers generally work M-F, ensuring you have evenings and weekends for family time (some flexibility is required based on busier periods). Primary responsibilities include:
Operating a tractor-trailer hopper truck in a safe manner to transport ingredients and/or grain from various customer locations
Operating semi-tractor hopper bottom unit to pick up bulk ingredients such as soybean meal and wheat midds
Operating a straight truck, forklift, tractor and machinery
Performing general maintenance on trucks, trailers, and equipment
Equipment repair and maintenance
What You Need:
Candidates must not currently own or have routine contact with non-Hord pigs
Class A CDL and clean driving record are a must
Ability to sit for extended periods of time
Time management skills to ensure loads move on schedule
Impeccable record of reliability/dependability
Basic knowledge of Windows, Excel, and email functions
Minimum 3 years driving experience
