Job Overview

The Manufacturing Supervisor (Process) Section Leader is responsible for planning day-to-day operational priorities, providing technical input, solutions, and options for improving productivity and efficiencies in the assigned areas of the plant located in Canton, NY.

Required Skills:

  • B.S. in Materials Science, Chemical, Mechanical or related Engineering discipline with 5-7 years of professional experience with 2 years supervisory experience required.

  • Proven experience in an operations management role

  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.

  • Project management understanding and skills

  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence and effectively present information to groups

  • Proven interpersonal, leadership and organizational/time management skills

  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills

  • US Citizenship required*

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate operations of the Capability line.

  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.

  • Monitor and manage operational costs to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.

  • Ensure that operations meet the goals and objectives of the organization.

  • Collaborate with other department leaders to ensure smooth workflow and efficient organization operations.

  • Oversee the training, and supervision of operations staff.

  • Analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements as needed.

  • Manage relationships with external partners (CMs) and vendors.

  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans and initiatives.

  • Ensure and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

The range for this position is $119,373.00 - $164,138.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
