Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in the telecom industry. Located in Canton, Ohio, this role involves managing basic bookkeeping functions, data entry, and other assigned duties.

Responsibilities

• Manage basic bookkeeping functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll

• Conduct data entry tasks and make payments as necessary

• Maintain employee files and ensure their accuracy

• Manage office supplies as part of the job function

• Collect and verify timecards and enter hours into the payroll system

• Audit hours and verify bonuses, overtime, leaves

• Handle taxes and deductions, and make necessary adjustments

• Troubleshoot discrepancies in payroll

• Utilize skills in Payroll, Epicor, SyteLine, and Time and Attendance systems to perform job duties. Requirements • Possess strong knowledge and experience in Payroll processing.

• Proficiency in using Epicor and SyteLine software is necessary.

• Must have experience in managing Time and Attendance systems.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; further education in Finance or related field is beneficial.

• Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or similar role in the Finance department.

• Familiarity with general accounting principles is essential.

• Experience in data collection, entry, and reporting with great attention to detail and confidentiality.

• Solid knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and regulations.

• Computer savvy with a working knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office.

• Exemplary planning and time management skills.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.

• High level of professionalism and excellent communication skills.

• Strong problem-solving skills and resolution of issues in a timely manner.

• Must have the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies.
