Phoenix Air UAS Remote Pilot in Command in Cartersville, Georgia

General Description

Unmanned Aircraft Systems Operations including Remote PIC, Sensor/Camera Operation, Visual/Electronic Observer.

duties and responsibilities

  • Duties will require aircraft operation, assembly, maintenance, documentation, and compliance with FAA regulations and company Standard Operation Procedures.
  • Flight planning to include launch and recovery zone selection, validation of operating area against regulations and FAA waiver and exemption criteria, creation of flight profiles that meet data capture requirements, and mission creation for upload to aircraft.
  • Act as peer reviewer for all UAS flight planning processes.
  • Support PAU Dispatch personnel as needed.
  • Payload integration and operation duties include wide range of sensors including DSLR, EO/IR/UV, and LiDAR.
  • Coordinate with company subject matter experts to resolve issues beyond the scope of field maintenance capability.
  • Documentation of daily maintenance actions and flights.
  • Ability to integrate and test various UAS sensors mounts with engineering and fabrication staff.
  • Assist staff with new business development, customer satisfaction and reporting requirements.
  • Review of customer flight mission requirements within US NAS and apply for FAA airspace waivers and/or certifications as required.
  • Drive company vehicles and hardware to job site as required.
  • Ability to travel worldwide.

skills, competencies, education, certification, and/or licensure requirements

B.S. Degree in Aviation or Engineering related industry or equivalent work experience.

FAA sUAS Remote Pilot Certificate.

FAA Private Pilot Certificate or greater.

FAA Class 3 Medical.

Valid USA Passport.

Applicants should have a high degree of computer literacy to include; Microsoft Office Suite.

Basic working knowledge of various data creation and output software.

Experienced in UAS Operations including extensive knowledge of flight control systems and image capture techniques.

Knowledge of RF systems and Command and Control links.

Remote Pilot in Command experience with documented flight logs.

History of successful UAS and ground support equipment testing, troubleshooting and maintenance.
