Grundfos Associate Electrical Design Engineer in Castletown, United Kingdom

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and driven Associate Electrical Design Engineer to join our Engineering team based at our Manufacturing plant in Sunderland.

In this role, you will play a critical part in providing engineering support for a diverse range of products and solutions, supporting production and testing to produce high-quality products following the required standards. We are looking for a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual who is passionate about driving positive change and is excited to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

What is the job about?

The main purpose of the role is to apply subject matter knowledge and provide engineering support for a diverse range of products and solutions. The role involves supporting production and testing with the necessary documentation to produce quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide electrical design support to sales, production, and project engineering functions.

• Support product development both in manufacture and at interface with our sales and marketing functions. This will include responsibility for reviewing, generating and controlling control drawings, and supporting documentation within our manufacturing systems.

• Support product design, build, test, and release through the stages of our product development process.

• Support production process and facility development using Grundfos Production System.

• Provide accurate and timely cost estimates to internal and external customers for control panels, electrical installations, and systems.

• Support the mechanical CAD team to produce production layout drawings.

• Support the implementation and development of Grundfos Production System.

Reporting, and Work Relations:

The Associate Electrical Design Engineer will report to the Senior Electrical Engineer and have daily interaction with the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Teams. Frequent interaction with Sales is required for project status updates. There is also daily interaction with area Supervisors, Team Leaders, and Project Fulfilment Manager.

Your Background

Required Minimum Qualifications include:

• Qualification in an electrical engineering discipline, ideally to degree level.

• Experience with a leading electrical design CAD package is desirable for the ability to create electrical schematics – Eplan Electric P8 is advantageous.

• Experience of advanced integrated manufacturing systems, i.e. SAP/MRP is desirable.
