Casting Maintenance Supervisor
PMX Industries is the leading supplier of high quality copper and copper alloys in North America. We are currently hiring for a Casting Maintenance Supervisor in our Cedar Rapids, IA manufacturing facility.
The Casting Maintenance Supervisor provides direction on the preventative maintenance program to maintain equipment , while working in a heavy manufacturing union environment.
Primary Duties:
Supervise workflow; including schedules, ordering of parts, paperwork, housekeeping and waste reduction
Directs preventative maintenance program with proper scheduling and requirements to maintain equipment and facilities
Assist in troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems/components
Ensures equipment condition at end of work order is proper and in safe-working order
Responsible for compliance with all quality efforts in maintenance through proper use of work instructions, processes and procedures
Drive data integrity throughout all involved processes, procedures and equipment
Coordinate efforts between maintenance and production to minimize delays and downtime on machines
Expected to follow all safety rules and policies and work in a manner that protects themselves and other stakeholders from hazards and injuries
Ensure all work procedures and practices are in accordance with established safety policies
Ensure safety of employees and equipment that employees work with and on at all times
Responsible for establishing and maintaining sound employee relations
Maintain departmental records
Education/Experience Requirements:
Associate’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technology; or 5 years of industrial experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
3 years of foundry maintenance experience on induction furnaces to include: power transmission, water cooling, and refractory lining
Leadership and Supervisory skills in a heavy manufacturing environment
Union Supervisory experience is strongly preferred
Metal Fabrication industry experience preferred
Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, with a mechanical aptitude
Skill Requirements:
General understanding of PCs and related Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Sound communication to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to plan and schedule work
Salary:
$80,000-$85,000 annually, with all hours worked outside of the normal schedule paid at the equivalent hourly rate
