Job Description: As a Field Tech you will be or become a certified Colorado Asbestos Building Inspector and Air Monitoring Specialist. You will play a vital role in safeguarding public health by conducting thorough inspections to identify and assess asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) in various structures. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Air monitoring services will ensure that the general public is not exposed to asbestos during the abatement process and clear buildings to be inhabited following the completion of asbestos abatement.

Responsibilities: Travel to sample sites mainly in the Denver area, occasional travel to outlying areas such as Boulder, Colorado Springs or Fort Collins. Perform detailed inspections of buildings and structures to identify ACMs using specialized tools and techniques. Collect samples of suspected ACMs for laboratory analysis and interpret the results accurately. Assess the condition of ACMs and determine the potential risk of asbestos exposure. Prepare comprehensive inspection reports documenting findings, including sample locations, material types, quantity and condition assessments utilizing company technology and techniques. Collect air samples and complete final visual and air clearances of asbestos abatement projects. Collaborate with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local asbestos regulations. Stay up-to-date with current asbestos regulations, industry best practices, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications: Listed below are preferred qualifications but not required to apply: Experience as an asbestos building inspector/air monitoring specialist or a related field preferred but not required. Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) Asbestos Building Inspector certification and Air Monitoring Specialist certification preferred but not required. Solid knowledge of federal, state, and local asbestos regulations, including CDPHE Reg. 8 AHERA and NESHAP preferred but not required. Proficiency in conducting asbestos inspections, sample collection preferred but not required. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret laboratory results accurately. Preferred education of Bachelors of Science Degree in a Science related field.

Detail-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to accuracy and thoroughness. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical capability to perform inspections in various environments and conditions. Ability to pass an annual medical physical exam including ability to wear a respirator. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Minimum Education of High School Diploma or GED.
