We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Administrator to manage and maintain our organization's computer networks. The Network Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and security of our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in network administration, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to network optimization and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

• Configure, install, and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, to ensure optimal performance and availability.

• Monitor network performance and traffic patterns, identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance.

• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access control lists (ACLs), to protect against unauthorized access, malware, and other security threats.

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various network systems and applications.

• Configure and maintain virtual private networks (VPNs) and other remote access solutions to facilitate secure access for remote users.

• Design and implement network segmentation and VLANs to enhance security and optimize network traffic flow.

• Collaborate with other members of the IT team to develop and implement network policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff, assisting with network-related issues and troubleshooting escalated problems.

• Document network configurations, diagrams, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure continuity of operations.

• Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends in networking, participating in professional development activities and training as needed.

  Requirements

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar role, with a strong background in managing and maintaining computer networks.

• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), and switching technologies.

• Hands-on experience with network hardware and software platforms from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, and Fortinet.

• Experience with network monitoring and management tools, such as SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, or Nagios.

• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices, with experience implementing security controls and conducting security assessments.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex network issues and develop effective solutions.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders, vendors, and team members.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.

• Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are desirable but not required.
