Aerotek Maintenance Electrician in Chattanooga, Tennessee

Description:

  • Electrical maintenance machinery and equipment by completing preventive and reactive maintenance requirements on CNC machines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

• Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.

• Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.

• Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.

• Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.

• Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results

• Prepare electrical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

• Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.

Other Skills & Qualifications:

• Demonstrate electrical abilities through electrical installations, conduit, PLC wiring, or any similar experience

• Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems.

• CNC machining, robotics, and PLC troubleshooting.

• Ability to read electrical prints and troubleshoot.

• Experience with foundry equipment, paint and machine shop equipment is a plus.

• Experience with Induction Furnaces, vibratory conveyors, shot blast equipment is a plus.

• Must have experience working with 480v electricity and maintenance.

• Specific knowledge and experience with PLC’s, Ladder Logic, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical distribution.

• Electrical maintenance, equipment installation, and repair and troubleshooting of large automated systems.

Pay: $26.31/hr for the first 720 hrs, then it goes to $27.01+/hr, depending on experience and performance

Shift: train on 1st shift, then must be flexible to work any shift as needed for the first 720 hours, then it will likely be either 2nd or 3rd shift from that point on

Schedule: Monday-Friday with OT on weekends as needed; probably about 50 hrs a week
