Job Overview:

Responsible for refusing unsafe work and for carrying out all work in accordance with the established HSES Safety standards and Work practices.

This role will be working in offshore vessel.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Visually inspects bevels to ensure that they are clean and free of defects and corrects bad bevels.

• Position line up clamps, instructs line up station’s operator to properly position pipe for alignment.

• Determines placement of spacing tools, ensuring that placement does not interfere with welding.

• Assists AWS personnel, where necessary, with the maintenance of line up clamps

• Ensure working tools are maintained in a safe working condition.

• Ensure overhead hoists are used correctly (undergo additional training where required)

• Following all company policies and procedures, and ensuring subordinates do the same.

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• 1 year as Fitter

• BOSIET

• Valid Medical Certificate of Fitness

• STCW Reg

• VI-6 – Security Familiarization
