_POSITION SUMMARY_

The Associate Marketing Communications Manager will be responsible forsupporting the work of the Marketing Communications Manager on programs/campaigns/projects directed to promote one of USG’s business units. The Associate role may also participate in marketing department-centric projects by offering support or leading the development or coordination of an activity. Collaborative and detailed project management skills will be a central requirement to implementing communication projects and strategies of three key types: promotional, media communications (paid, earned, search), and sales enablement/support.. Includes cross-functional interaction with product management, packaging, sales, customer service, IT, research, legal, safety, quality and senior management. This candidate will serve as day-to-day contact with agency partners to ensure programs are delivered on time and within budget.

_KEY RESPONSIBILITIES_ _ _ * Prepare vendors with project briefs, materials, approvals or other project-specific needs to initiate work and facilitate through to completion

  • Drafting and editing materials and communications copy; provide insight and point of view on creative assets in development

  • Function as a tradeshow coordinator driving alignment between host organization, exhibit vendor, product managers, sales teams, and marketing

  • Reporting: monitor media campaigns and report on achieved metrics (print, digital, social and search), monitor the marketing budget spend with monthly reporting to the business unit

  • Participate in idea sessions and/or source other means to bring new insights or considerations to the marketing and business unit teams

_KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:_ * Interest and intent to learn and practice marketing competencies within a B2B marketplace * Experience executing on some integrated marketing program elements, such as paid, owned and earned media, SEM/SEO, public relations, social media, direct marketing, promotions, sales enablement, channel marketing, event marketing, primary/secondary research and corporate branding. * Strong communication, project management and organizational skills * Capable of building purposeful relationships with both internal and external constituencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related business field required
  • MBA or advanced marketing degree is a plus
  • 1-4 years of marketing or marketing communications experiences. Agency experience a plus.
