What you'll be doing

As a member of the US Cloud Strategy and Enablement team, you’ll develop strategies and participate in specific initiatives to adopt cloud services across our business-aligned technologies and organization.

As a Cloud Platform Architect, you’ll drive US Technology adoption of cloud platforms, particularly the CIBC Azure tenant. You partner with Application Development, Application Support, and other Technology teams and partners to migrate existing applications, deploy new applications, and ensure operational stability, resilience, and compliance of cloud-based systems. You select appropriate cloud services, develop solutions and patterns, devise and document change protocols, educate and mentor peer teams, and deliver reporting on the cloud estate.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

• Application Placement and Refactoring - partner with and advise Application Development, Enterprise Architecture, and other teams to identify the best cloud platform and services for applications in line with CIBC standards.

• Pattern Development - develop standards and guidance for adopting and implementing cloud technologies.

• Cloud Infrastructure Delivery - facilitate the delivery of Azure resources and supporting elements, including NSG rules, firewall changes, and access control.

• Compliance and Operational Reporting - develop and deliver reporting to meet operational and regulatory requirements, including cloud adoption, KRIs, performance metrics, and costs.

• Process and Service Awareness - empower Application Services and other US Technology teams by providing materials, notifications, and training on new technologies, newly-approved services, and changes to operational procedures.

Who you are

• You can demonstrate experience with: Azure solution design and deployment, IT Service Management principles, documentation and communication of complex, detailed processes and concepts.

• It’s an Asset if: You have Azure certifications and experience in Finance or other regulated industries.
