USG Corporation Intern (Summer) - Performance Surfaces in Chicago, Illinois

Performance Surfaces Intern

Assignment start and end time will be coordinated between candidate and hiring manager to coincidence with school schedule. This assignment is full-time for 40 hours/week.

Sales/Field Support

Run detailed reports including metrics important to sales managers and field sales reps

Schedule periodic calls with contractor reps to get pulse on happenings in the field

Act as liaison between field and corporate office for product promotions, customer concerns, technical inquiries, etc.

Maintain field promotional efforts including follow up on previously initiated projects

Marketing Support

Proofreading

Coordination of leveraging/sharing of assets on all online spaces and across all teams

Assist with event and tradeshow support and coordination

Conduct market research

Administrative Support

Draft technical letters for customers

Update product and technical literature and product pages on website

Other duties assigned by team members

Qualifications Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

Ideal candidate would be college student majoring in, sales/marketing, business, architecture, construction management.

Must be highly organized and able to work on multiple projects at the same time.

Ability to draft professional emails to internal and external customers.

Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills at required.

Minimal travel required.

Salary will be based on years completed toward college degree.
