USG Corporation Sales Operations Specialist - National Accounts in Chicago, Illinois


Provides ongoing operations support for the National Accounts Sales team. Analyzes, evaluates and collects key data points required to support big box and pro dealer customers as well as the National Accounts Sales team. Responsible for overseeing the activities and operations of administrative services between National Accounts Sales and other departments. This includes maintaining customer data and pricing files, financial analysis, adhoc reporting, and customer program management. Monitors issues, enhancements, and questions until resolution. Provides additional support to the National Accounts Sales organization as needed. Position has minimal travel requirements and is located in the Chicago office.



Includes the following and performs additional responsibilities as assigned

  • Responsible for pricing management – maintaining updated files, customer price lists for National Accounts Sales customers.

  • Understands and handles pricing decisions that result in financial implications.

  • Ensures both internal and external audiences receive timely and appropriate information.

  • Effectively defines, documents and delivers clear and concise written and oral communication to internal and external customers.

  • Leads facilitation of meetings or sessions to keep a group of attendees focused to accomplish the established meeting goals.

  • Understands and appreciates the sensitivity in proper communication with all audiences but especially with external customers.

  • Proactively embraces project goals, determines next steps and takes initiative with little direction.

  • Works with cross functional teams to develop and communicate procedures to improve the customer experience.

  • Assists in business process development. Provides recommendations on systems and business process enhancements.


Education * Bachelor’s Degree required, degree in business related field preferred.

Required Skills

  • 3 to 5 years of business experience.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, quality and accuracy of projects.

  • Excellent leadership, analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in various software packages (i.e., Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Power Point).

  • Strong time management and organizational skills with ability to juggle multiple demands, hard deadlines, and shifting priorities.

  • Accurately anticipates customer needs and proactively meets/exceeds expectations and requirements of external and internal customers.

  • Excellent attitude and communication skills to interact with all levels within the organization.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Oracle, ANSWERS, and Salesforce business applications.
