USG Corporation Salesforce Administrator in Chicago, Illinois
Position Summary: Provide business support for the Salesforce.com platform with specific focus on the Customer facing features of the application. Manage the day to day business administration needs of the salesforce.com system, and act as liaison between the Customer, business and IT team. Identify new or improved functionality; monitor software issues and develop recommendations to drive efficiency and effectiveness of tool.
This position will report out of and be based in USG’s Chicago HQ office.
Relocation will not be provided for this position. * * Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities * Provide expertise in the future state of the Customer Experience by being a key member of the salesforce team participating in design, UX, testing, and training.
Manage the day to day business administration tasks for Salesforce.com
Maintain Customer/user profiles and security
Provision new Customers/users in the system and manage changes to existing Customers/users
Serve as a salesforce.com expert within USG with a basic knowledge and expertise regarding the platform
Provide input to sales, IT and third-party consultants to solve issues
Work with sales and business unit leadership to identify ongoing business enablement needs
Assess salesforce.com releases from the business perspective and provide inputs for release planning for USG
Provide first level Salesforce support for Customers/users; monitor support feed and ensure that questions are answered
Develop, monitor and support adoption and usage metrics
Provide inputs for salesforce training for both existing functionality and new releases. Assist in the delivery of training to new and existing Customers/users.
Manage and document “Standard Operating Procedures” for the various process related to the salesforce.com. Maintain on-line training library for Customer/user self-service support.
Work with Customer/users to understand new business requirements. Manage the process of getting libraries loaded with appropriate content.
Key Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred or substantial equivalent customer, sales and salesforce experience.
Certified Salesforce.com Administrator (ADM-201), additional Salesforce certifications (ADM-211, etc.) are a plus; or willing to become Salesforce certified
5 years’ experience in sales, sales administration, sales support or customer service working with systems, products and processes.
2 years of Salesforce.com experience working with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and/or Communities. Experience working on the Salesforce Lightning Platform a plus.
Salesforce Configuration experience
Strong background in sales, sales operations or other USG support systems – customer database, product database, pricing, quoting, etc.
Strong technology capabilities and the ability to translate business needs into Salesforce requirements
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively and confidently with Customers, users, team members and management
Ability to work independently. Identify and resolve problems and work through the steps necessary to correct
Prior experience in the Manufacturing/Construction industry experience is a plus
Ability to learn USG’s customer base, business processes and best practices is a plus
Strong organizational skills
