We believe that inclusion helps us thrive and grow at United across our collaborative Finance teams consisting of Financial Planning & Analysis, Internal Audit, Treasury, Global Procurement, Controllership, Investor Relations and more. These teams provide the financial fuel that keeps our operation running from providing detailed analyses of financial planning, performance, and forecasts to managing our investments and financial strategies. Our Finance team plays an integral role in making our airline profitable and successful by meeting our financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

The Treasury - Senior Risk Analyst position supports the Corporate Risk and Insurance group with a focus on aviation hull and liability, property and business interruption insurable exposure including risk assessment / measurement, risk response, claims administration, risk financing analytics and required administration. In addition, the position supports the insurance managers with the review of contract risk and insurance transfer sections.

  • Risk assessment / measurement of exposures for assigned insurance programs and determine effectiveness of insurance as a risk transfer mechanism

  • Analyze likelihood and severity of a possible event (e.g., fire, hurricane, liability claim) and work with manager to recommend the optimal mix of insurance and self-insurance within the Company risk tolerance.

  • Prepare submission including develop insured values report, review for accuracy coverage proposals / binders / policies / invoices.

  • Assist on claims as required, including but not limited to internal document gathering to provide to Third Party Administrator for claim handling

  • Work with Procurement, Legal, and Real Estate to provide advice and assist in negotiations of contract risk transfer and insurance sections

  • Captive administration and assistant with captive optimization

  • Additional projects and tasks as assigned to support the Risk / Insurance function

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelors Degree

  • 2+ years in Insurance or Risk related field

  • Strong Analytical and Communication Skills

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Bachelors of Business Finance, Risk Management and professional certification of ARM and CPCU

  • Power Point, Excel including pivot table knowledge

  • 2+ years experience in Insurance or Risk related field
