Schroeder Industries, LLC Manufacturing in Cumberland, Maryland

It is the responsibility of the Electrical/Maintenance Technician to perform scheduled preventative maintenance on Schroeder Industries LLC's (SI) electrical and mechanical systems, to maintain inventory of spare parts, as well as scheduling and recording of maintenance and repairs using M-Pulse software.

  • Performs scheduled preventative maintenance on SI electrical and mechanical equipment and systems according to an established program.
  • Performs facility maintenance as required. This includes training and being responsible for all machines and equipment being in optimum operational
  • condition consisting of changing of all oils, coolants, greasing, checking of all electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, components, and cleaning,as well as checking functionality when finished.
  • Maintains and updates maintenance programs, schedules and records of work performed.
  • Maintains file of equipment service manuals and inventory of spare parts.
  • Maintains facility maintenance which includes but is not limited to new hook-ups, replacements, removals and set-ups of existing and new machinery
  • including electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic hook-ups.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs breakdowns using meters, schematics and parts sheets to reorder items.
  • Performs fabrication and welding work when required.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Minimum of four years' technical school training or on the job experience in mechanics, electrical and hydraulics and proven mechanical aptitude is preferred.
  • Electronic certification or comparable certification is preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of electronics principles and design is preferred. Experience in manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience with PLC's and robotics is preferred. Knowledge of M-Pulse software a plus.
  • Knowledge of Basic Welding is a plus. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions finished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Willingness, desire and ability to successfully complete training and education deemed necessary for the successful performance of all job responsibilities.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Capability to obtain forklift certification to drive a forklift, including standup reach trucks.

Other Requirements:

  • Availability to work any shift or weekends as needed or to be called in on off shifts to troubleshoot breakdowns.
