Service 1st Federal Credit Union Financial Services Coordinator in Danville, Pennsylvania
Role: A Financial Services Coordinator's primary responsibility is to provide administrative support to the Retirement & Investment Center. Schedules appointments with members and communicates regularly with members and coworkers by email, mail and phone. Assists with developing and executing the Retirement & Investment Center's annual marketing plan, ensures compliance with department activities and coordinates events to support promotions and seminars. Promotes the Retirement & Investment Center to members and coworkers while delivering an exceptional level of service.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- E 60% Provides administrative support to the Retirement & Investment Center; schedules appointments, answers phone calls and coordinates correspondence.
- E 15% Coordinates seminars by making room arrangements, packets, room set-up and confirming attendance.
- E 15% Maintains records, files and reports as well as assigned administrative responsibilities.
- E 5% Markets and promotes the Retirement and Investment center and the credit union.
- N 5% Performs other duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
- Greets all Retirement & Investment Center and credit union members and visitors in a courteous, timely, and professional manner.
- Provides accurate and professional administrative support to the Retirement & Investment Center. Duties include setting up appointments with clients and members; analyzing, sorting and delivering incoming mail; providing telephone coverage; typing memos and correspondence; and managing calendars.
- Gains initial information about members, handles their immediate needs that can be addressed through a limited portfolio of solutions, and/or refers the member to the Financial Services Representative. Cross-sells and promotes credit union products based on members needs.
- Coordinates events and seminars hosted by the Retirement & Investment Center. Coordinate and confirm venue arrangements, speakers and guests, invitations, informational materials, and RSVPs.
- Coordinates mailings of newsletters, surveys, seminars, annual review letters, and appointment information forms.
- Markets the program to both credit union employees and members. Ensures marketing materials are well supplied and current. Maintains member marketing lists ensuring information is current and accurate.
- Accurately maintains files in compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
- Adheres to all applicable Credit Union and Retirement & Investment Center policies and procedures including compliance and confidentiality of client, member and employee information.
- Maintains a professional appearance, demeanor, and workspace.
- Participate in training and professional development activities to acquire and maintain standards established by the credit union. This could include attending conferences, seminars and workshops as directed by Management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience - Requires a minimum of one year experience in a related or similar administrative or clerical role; or, one year of experience working at a financial institution.
- Education - A high school education or GED.
- Interpersonal Skills - Requires well developed interpersonal skills for communicating information about the credit union to members and employees. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature.
- Other Skills - Requires intermediate mathematical skills (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.) and requires personal computer skills such as word processing, mail merge, and data base/spreadsheet applications. Ability to perform multiple tasks while maintaining necessary organization and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is essential. Qualified candidates must be detail oriented, self-motivated nd able to perform tasks without supervision.
Physical Requirements
- Requires exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.
- Involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required occasionally.
- Repetitive finger movements to perform typing or otherwise working with paper files and documents.
- Requires close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data and figures; view a computer terminal; read and assess work quality.
