DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In the role of a Tradesman Helper, your responsibilities will encompass a range of semi-skilled trades tasks across various areas including construction, grounds and building maintenance, motorized equipment maintenance and repair, as well as assisting with mechanical work in the garage for the Northampton County Maintenance Office. Additionally, you will be involved in general building maintenance duties such as restroom cleaning, trash collection, furniture and fixture dusting, sweeping, floor washing, vacuuming, and window washing. You will also be responsible for general yard maintenance, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness, cutting grass and weeds, removing snow from sidewalks and parking areas, and maintaining the scrap tires area. Furthermore, you will assist mechanics with light mechanical repairs such as lubrication, oil changes, repairing lights, and tire mounting on both light and heavy-duty vehicles as required.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Overtime, shift work and travel required. Dual shifts required during snow removal operations.
