*[JOB SUMMARY: *[Responsible for educating and protecting the public by supporting disease prevention/solutions to environmental problems; providing awareness of activities/behaviors that adversely affect the environment and public health by performing plan reviews, conducting inspections, enforcing federal, state, and local public health and environmental protection laws, rules, and regulations.

• BS/BA Degree in environmental health, biology, chemistry, public health, or related physical science
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Excellent organizational, communication skills and a sound knowledge of office procedures and practices
• Ability to competently serve the public with diplomacy and respect, including occasional encounters with irate/hostile individuals
• Valid drivers' license and reliable transportation
