Job Description: Mechanic

Located in Baldwin County, Alabama.

Position Description

We seek an experienced, reliable, and highly skilled Mechanic to join our growing team of

professionals. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and

troubleshooting a variety of construction equipment located at various locations while ensuring

safe and efficient operation at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance of construction equipment.

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and develop effective solutions.

Conduct inspections of equipment and identify potential problems to prevent equipment

failure.

Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts inventory and

work performed.

Coordinate with equipment operators and supervisors to prioritize repairs and minimize

downtime, ensuring that critical equipment is available for scheduled projects.

Disassemble, repair, and reassemble components and systems, including engines,

transmissions, axles, brakes, steering systems, and suspension systems.

Interact with customers professionally and courteously.

Safely operate equipment to assist the construction team.

Utilize all safety equipment and follow all safety regulations and guidelines.

Ensure that all tools and equipment are functioning correctly.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Mechanic or similar role.

Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of

construction equipment.

Valid CDL license preferred.

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Experience or training in diesel mechanics, heavy equipment repair, or a related field is

preferred.

Ability to carry heavy tools.

Being reliable and on time.

Ability to pass a background check.

Have reliable transportation.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions -The position requires working in a physically

demanding job site environment, frequently in an outdoor setting. Bending, stooping,

kneeling, walking, and lifting are required, as well as the ability to lift 40+ lbs.

Driving required - must have a valid driver's license for three or more years; reliable

transportation with proof of automobile liability insurance is required when driving a

personal vehicle.
