Aerotek Production Line Lead in Findlay, Ohio

Description:

  • Will be working as a line lead, overseeing a line

  • They have different departments they could be placed into including Materials, logistics, warehouse, aluminum, caliper machining and caliper assembly

  • Will need to understand priority of orders and prioritize what parts are ran in what orders

  • There are lineside boards that have models of projects, will run lineside meetings, and create a schedule on the board, cross off when completed

  • Will be responsible for deciding what parts are ran each day, and ensuring correct runs are completed

  • Responsible for communication between shifts - attend shift hand off meetings

  • Need to make sure line has correct parts for each run

  • May have to pull parts for the team/line

  • Oversee training of new employees and train employees as needed

  • Enforce all PPE is being worn appropriately

  • Will be communicating with supervisor what is needed, if they are short staffed communicating that to supervisor as well

  • Will have to do line checks using gauges, calipers and measuring tools

  • Will be working hands on - this is a 100% working lead at the line, will not be in an office setting

  • Responsible for any employee/associate issues, communicating that with supervisor

  • Ensure team is following FIFO process (first in first out)

  • Implementation, process improvement and 5s

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 5 years of manufacturing experience and at least 2 years of lead/leadership experience

  • Must have experience using gauges, calipers and measuring equipment

  • Must have experience following FIFO (first in, first out)

  • Must have experience delegating and prioritizing orders

  • Must be willing to be HANDS ON - they are 100% at the line

  • Must have basic computer skills and experience entering data on a computer - being able to input data in a system called leading to lean

  • Must be open to some OT on Saturdays, OT during the week is by volunteer to cover call offs
