The CNC Machinist Class A will have extensive first run set-up experience, and the ability to troubleshoot, inspect, and run high quality critical components for the Aerospace Industry. This professional would understand GDT tolerances, blueprint reading, and most importantly, the ability to inspect dimensional requirements using various inspectional methods. Other job functions would include but are not limited to, provide training, maintaining quality and 6S methodology records, and maintaining a clean, safe, work environment. Core Responsibilities:

  • [Set up and operate CNC lathes, CNC milling machines, precision grinders, drill presses, band saws, precision hones, sanders, and bench grinders to sharpen tools, and other powered metalworking tools to machine parts to specified dimensions.]{#_Hlk160205860}
  • Interfaces with manufacturing engineering, supervision, etc. on job status and production planning.
  • Ability to run multiple jobs concurrently and self-manage time so that machines are not sitting.
  • Uses precision measuring instruments such as height gauges, micrometers, dial calipers, dial indicators, inside micrometers, thread micrometers, and bore gages, to verify conformance of machined components to specification.
  • Interprets blueprints and manufacturing specifications, identifies damaged tooling.

Education/Experience/Other Requirements

  • [High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.]{#_Hlk162011015}
  • Trade school diploma in a machinist trade, or equivalent apprentice and on the job training.
  • Minimum 5 years of CNC set up and operator for CNC milling and lathes.
  • Must have experience with FANUC and Hurco WinMax controls.
  • Must be a Citizen of the United States of America.
  • Drug screening and criminal background checks are required.
