Job Summary and Qualifications

The Decision Support Analyst acts as an informational resource for division and hospital leadership by providing ongoing reporting and analysis on key business and operations measures.

The Decision Support Analyst is responsible for supporting the company’s Mission, Vision, and Values, and complies with corporate policy and procedures, efficiently managing activities and resources, and ensures appropriate integration with the overall plan for the delivery of care and services.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Reporting and analytics centered around business operations and strategic planning reporting; focused on division-wide operations including decision support, economic modeling, clinical outcomes, services lines, and related initiatives as directed

  • Integrating operational, financial, and clinical information to assist leadership with business decisions

  • Act as a business operations and strategic planning consultant, helping to turn data into meaningful insights.

  • Collaborating with Business Intelligence Developers, utilizing current business intelligence or data modelling, to support recommendations for action.

  • Manage timely flow of business intelligence information to users.

  • Assesses competitive market strategies through analysis of related product, market, or share trends

  • Aggregate business intelligence data from available industry reports, public information, field reports, purchased sources, and available repositories,

  • Ensures integrity and security of all internally generated data including, but not limited to Diagnosis, Discharge, E.H.R., Finance and related information.

  • Data reconciliation of financial statements and operating reports, with the identification and amendment of discrepancies

  • Completes special projects as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Clinical or business-related field is required

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential

  • Healthcare experience is required

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint is required

  • Experience with Query languages like SQL and databases is preferred

  • Experience with analytics tools such as Qlikview is preferred

  • Mapping with ESRI or Maptitutde is preferred
