SUMMARY

This position will require an individual to work on a variety of machines in production and inspect various maintenance issues in order to maintain a safe working environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Be able to perform the following tasks:

forklift mechanic, repair electrical fixtures, work on cranes, construction, work on hydraulics, work on a variety of machines in production, inspection of cranes, inspection of electrical areas, preventative maintenance, pneumatics, air conditioner maintenance, and repair of welder and CNC equipment.

Spot Problems or potential problems and take initiative to correct them.

Assist in the training and development of other employees.

Ability to handle and wire 110-230-460 3 phase.

Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED TRAINING

  • Per 40 CFR 265.16(d)(1-3) – This position requires initial training within 6 months and annual thereafter as a hazardous waste handler and or emergency coordinator as required by the EPA RCRA hazardous waste rules.

  • Responsible for the overall management of hazardous waste regulations and training for the facility which includes, but is not limited to, waste hazards, storage time limits, satellite accumulation, marking, labeling, weekly inspections, aisle space, storage, manifest shipping, use and location of emergency equipment, response to spills and fires, evacuation, etc.

Per 49 CFR 172.704 - This position requires initial training within 6 months and a 3 year refresher as a hazardous materials handler as required by DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation regulations.

  • Responsible for and trained to understand the packaging, hazard classes and divisions, marking, labeling and shipping of all hazardous materials following the proper completion of the required shipping paper and or shipping manifest, etc.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be forklift certified or able to become certified.

  • Must be able to become IMT weld certified.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two-year education in electronic technology desired.

  • Two (2) to three (3) years of previous maintenance experience preferred.

  • Prior knowledge of industrial wiring of a manufacturing facility preferred.

  • Ability to Pass a Mechanical Test

High school diploma or GED
